Thermography

More info?

Prevention method using thermal trapping

It is an inspection method that consists of obtaining thermal images of equipment and installations, which allows the detection and evaluation of possible defects or anomalies. Thermography is a technique based on the fact that most of the components of a system show an increase in temperature during malfunction, known as ‘hot spots’. These hot spots can be indicative of problems such as: overloads, short circuits, leaks, wear, misalignment and mechanical failures.

Advantages of thermography

It provides thermal images of equipment and installations by means of a special camera that captures the infrared radiation emitted by objects. These thermal images show the temperature differences between different areas of the system, making it easier to locate and assess defects or anomalies.

Inspect equipment and installations during normal operation, without the need to stop processes or interrupt production.

Prevent breakdowns or serious accidents by detecting problems before they escalate or cause major damage.

Reduce the time and cost of repairs by performing scheduled shutdowns and acting on critical points.

Extending the service life of equipment and installations by correcting malfunctions.
